Service
The Indiana Historical Society lets local history groups borrow traveling exhibits. I helped deliver many of these during my internship.
I helped facilitate a workshop about recruiting, using, and retaining younger volunteers in local history museums.

The Indiana Historical Society | Local History Services
Local History Services is a Field Services department, devoted to providing assistance to small, local history organizations around the state. I was fortunate to have an internship with this department. Over 9 months, I visited 26 different organizations, some of them more than once. I deliered traveling exhibits, went on collections care site visits, attended local group meetings about Bicentennial preparations, and led a workshop. Field serivces is aptly named, as service is the number one priority. It was a honor to serve local history groups in Indiana.
Association of Indiana Museums | Annual Conference
The IUPUI Museum Studies Club partnered with the Graduate Student History Association to host the annual Association of Indiana Museums conference at IUPUI. As vice president of Museum Studies Club, I had several responsibilities for the conference. I coordinated 25 volunteers both for wayfinding and session hosting, as well as a poster session. I also designed the signage and assisted with set-up.
